Keruing exudes resin, so after cleaning the Keruing, use mineral spirits to remove all resins. Then I’d use something designed for hardwoods, like Osmo Colourless Teak Oil. It’s not the cheapest oil in the store, but it has a great reputation and makes the wood look lovely.
