Best clear sealer for a cedar deck

We would like to seal our new cedar deck maintaining the natural wood color without it graying over time.  Products that are clear will let it naturally gray.  Then there are the ones that have a stain or are semi-transparent.  We are trying to keep it as natural as possible with all the protections.  I have read that oil based is the best.  Is there a product that you can suggest.

Hello Gail.
I like the Cabot range of deck stains. From what you say, I’d select semi-transparent stain. It has a small amount of suspended solids that help maintain the natural color without obscuring the grain too much.
Be aware that you’ll need to reapply it annually. Here’s a link.
