Hi, Robert.

You need to be careful with non-drying oils as some can go rancid. Walnut oil is one, although it has a beautiful smell. Pure linseed oil is another, don’t use boiled linseed oil, though, as that is a drying oil. For best safety, I’d advise light mineral oil. It’s food-safe, non-drying, and often used on chopping boards in the kitchen, like this one: https://geni.us/jLaEISi
