Hi, Robert.
You need to be careful with non-drying oils as some can go rancid. Walnut oil is one, although it has a beautiful smell. Pure linseed oil is another, don’t use boiled linseed oil, though, as that is a drying oil. For best safety, I’d advise light mineral oil.
