Hi William!
I’m hoping that you can help me out with some questions and concerns. I’m trying to finish a 4 foot slab of wood. I had started working on it a few years ago, but life happens. Now, there’s more work that I have to do on it, due to the pause in refinishing it. I want to fill in the cracks with gold and turquoise colors. I was thinking of using dyed epoxy to fill the cracks and then sealing the wood with a light stain. I just don’t know what kind of epoxy or resin to use for the crack fills. And then if I should use stain or something else to seal it.
I’m not even sure what I want to use it as. But it might end up as an outdoor table, or an indoor table. I can’t decide.
I’m attaching a picture of it – it’s a recent photo but not a good one. I can’t find any other good photo of it.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated! Look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Amy

Hello Amy.
You can use this epoxy resin by Incredible Solutions to fill the cracks.
You can also add exterior varnish topcoats for an extra layer of protection. Varnish will protect your wood and epoxy from UV rays and give them a longer life. You can use varnish like this one by RTG.
