Have wooden doors, bannisters and skirting throughout the property that look dull and tired. Looking to find best lightish stain to carry out the job with the least effort.

Hello, Nick.

I’d take a look at the Varathane range of stains – they’re quick drying in 1 to 2 hours, and you can wipe them on with a cloth or use a brush if you prefer. While they don’t have a huge range of colors, they have some nice light tones. Here’s a preferred choice:
