Hi
I oiled 2 times my top and even I used wax ….and still when is some water drop on wood it will leave mark after drop! What is wrong, why?

Hi, Jan.
The oil and wax protect the wood from deterioration; however, you may still get a white watermark on the surface when a damp object is placed on it.
That can happen no matter what surface finish you use, even polyurethane. The trick is to wipe the water off immediately and not let it sit. If you get white staining, there are several remedies to remove it.
One is to place a cloth over the mark and use a warm iron, and another is to use a blow dryer. Some people swear by mixing vinegar and olive oil and rubbing the mark.
